SLJ Week 1 Day 2: Activity If I went to the moon

If I was to put my foot on the moon for the first time I would be excited because I would be the first one and I would be very happy it would feel like a really good achievement.

This is my water project from SLJ and it is about dirty water and clean water. We all want clean water but some people don't get clean water so that means the people with dirty water will die and people with clean water will.

SLJ Teaser Lorde

Lorde is really good at singing. She started when she was a teenager. This is our first Summer learning journey. 

This is our Tynker  project. The person on it is called Cody. My Cody is screaming like mad. I think my project looks like a yarn ball with string around it. The person who came in was Mr Kinane. Mr Kinane was teaching us how to make a spiral in Tynker.

Calendar Art

This is are celinder art we are makeing portels are teacher gave us a speichel peace of paper. ufter she gave it to us we had to draw some lines to tell where to put the coulors you have to choose two coulors i chose purple and green you have to do purple green purple green and just repeat it.

Chips math

We are doing chips math today. First our teacher gave us a packet of chips then we had to get our evry day book and write in a graph the graph was could are names and then chips. The third thing we had to do is we had to put the chips into small' medium and large then we needed to put the chips underneth the graph then we did tally marks to count our chips.

Haiku poem

Today we did a Haiku poem. Everyone in the class had to do a Haiku poem.  My favourite thing was doing the picture.s My favourite picture is the monster legends one.

Math Activity

 Today we did a Screencastify of our Maths Activity I learnt more about repeated addition  like 10+10+10+10+10+10+10+10=80 thats what I learnt I didn't understand the first time cause I didn't no how many slides to put on.

Tynker

Today Mr Kinane came into are class he teached us how to make stuff in tynker my favorite part was when you clicked on cody and then cody made the shape what yourth codded. The thing that i didint like was when you had to put the blocks.I learnt how to make heaps of cool stuff i made a circle a square and some lines the lines made a big earth shape.

Colour poem

Today I was doing my Colour poem I made my colour poem on Wevideo it was really fun. I liked it because it was fun putting in the pictures. I liked it because it was hard making it the perfect size. But the thing i didn't like was when i was putting them into place. I worked really hard I liked doing it in wevideo because it is easy.

In kaikoura

When we got to Kaikoura  we had to go straight to mums office. The office is in a library it is up stairs down stairs is a museum. The museum is about whales and the towns whaling history.In the office there is actually to desks but in the pitcher there is only one. One desk is mine one desk is mums.

Melted wax art

My clown has lots of colours on it it has red, orange, white, black, purple, yellow and blue. We got crayons then we melted crayons to make paint, we melted the crayons in an electric frypan to melt the crayons. When we first started we had to draw a clown on a piece of paper. First you had to do it on a little piece of paper then if you were happy with it you could draw it on a big piece of paper. When you got the big piece of paper you drew another clown then you painted it with the crayon paint. When you were done your teacher needed to take a photo of you and your clown.

I like my clown because it has lots of nice colours I think it is a little bit scary but cool at the same time.

Cross Country

At cross country we had  to run 2k at the start people had to bang the pieces of wood. This year the cross country track had changed I came fourth three people were in front of me Zack, Ben and Lincoln were in front of me. Ben was in the lead but then Lincoln got in front of Ben then when Lincoln got to the first bridge his shoe came off then he ran in one shoe the whole time. At the second bridge and the third bridge was just planks. After we passed the bridges we had to run up a hill the hill was short but steep then we ran straight and then we went down the hill and then we finished.

Reflection

At school I like playing in the fort i think it is fun because you can make huts. In the fort there is a big ditch the ditch has lots of trees in the ditch there is lots of gumtrees. At school I don't like when the ditch and fort is closed because there is no where to play.

I have learnt what a denominator is a denominator is the bottom fraction and I also learnt what the numerator is. The numerator is the top fraction. I need to work on my times tables.

My class are working on Matareki kites our kites has lots of decorations on it we have feathers and sticks and shells. The shells are paua and normal shells.

Bolt

I learnt that bolt can mean lots of things. It can mean running to. It can mean you fixed a car with a bolt. Last a lightning bolt.

coding

Mr Kinane came into our classroom and he taught us to do some coding on Tynker. I made some windows and a fidget spinner. I made the blue monster make a window and a fidget spinner. It was hard to make a fidget spinner. It was easy to make a window.

Vocabulary cease

Our vocab word is cease cease means stop if someone says cease talking they are saying stop talking.

Vocabulary procrastinate

I learnt what procrastinate means it means you have to do what you don't want to do but you have to do it.

All About Me

Hi my name is Haki. My school is Kaniere School. My class is Ruma Tui. I play Minecraft on the iPad it is really fun I always build houses.I like to play in the fort. My friends are Lincoln, Jed and Ben. My second favourite game is Pokemon Go. My favourite Pokemon is Arceus and mostly all the legendaries. I'm making progress on my Xtramaths it is really hard on all the questions that it gives me but I still give it a try. I'm getting better and better at Maths Whizz. I love to draw every day. I’m really good at my Reading Eggs. This year I am really excited for a new year. I'm excited for a new year because we can learn new things. I want to learn new things because it will be really cool. I am year three.

Doubles to Twenty

I'm doing doubles to 20 like 1+1=2 2+2=4 and 3+3=6 and 4+4=8 and 5+5=10 and 6+6=12 and 7+7=14 and 8+8=16 and 9+9=18 and 10+10=20. I learnt how to do my doubles really good it was mostly hard but i did it. I'm getting better at my maths because I was figuring out the problems really quick.

Cybersmart

I learnt to not leave my chrome book on the floor because people will step on it. I learnt to stay on the thing your supposed to be on at the right time. I learnt to not leave a bottle next to your chrome book because you could knock it over. Don't do other people's work for them. I learnt to not eat next to my chrome book because it is bad and it could break it.

Maths

I have 21 rectangles. My picture is a fossil and a normal dinosaur. There is a dinosaur under  ground and the dinosaur that is under the ground is the fossil. The dinosaur that is on the grass is a normal dinosaur. I learnt how many shapes I have.

Art

I like my painting. I think I did a real good job of doing my writing.  I like the pattern of my panting. I loved doing this . I love my picture.
