Minecraft time

 

This month we had a challenge and that challenge was on Minecraft. The challenge we had was to build something that we would need on a desert island. We could do this in pairs if we wanted to I wanted to do it in a pair so I did, I buddied up with Jack T. For the thing we made we built a doomsday bunker. We built a it because we know that they have everything inside of them. When we finished we had to take pictures and write a story, we did some extras to the island but we don't have a pic of them. These daily challenges are so much fun, so if your school has Minecraft please try these and there's not just this one there's many more. IM BACK BABY

Welcome back to my blog everyone. We haven't been using blogger because we didn't mean the criteria for posting to it.  Manaiakalani have now said it is ok for us to post again. Since it was down didn't mean I stopped writing blogs. When blogger was down he made a website that had everyone's name on it and when you clicked on them it brings you to their blog that they made in their own google site. Creating the site was fun as well as writing the blogs that went on the site.

I liked doing this because it was a way to be creative as a class. Also, the end results of everyone's blog looked pretty cool. My blog was about me explaining to people who I am and what I like. Eel Time

Today I went to feed the eel's down the road with my dad.

We feed the eels Blue Fin Tuna. Dad said they haven't had it for a long time.

 The neighbours sometimes go down to feed them as well but since its lockdown they haven't been down there. Feeding the eel's are fun and if it was my first time I would love it. To get the eel's to come to us, you would have to tip the juice's out of the bucket and they would swim up to you as soon as they got the scent. There was probably 30 to 34 Eel's in the river. What's been happening?

 Since I'm back in school I've got a normal routine. Most of the time after school Mum and I will go for a walk to Westland High School. We play soccer and we will both have turns playing tennis with the dog. For Tennis we play fetch with my dog Molly. For soccer since there’s soccer nets I will just play a game of soccer or I’ll just shoot goals. I’ve also learnt how to juggle the soccer ball with my feet. I’ve liked what I have been doing after my school. I don't do this every day. But I like doing it and I'll probably do it more often. Do you do or like the sports that I mentioned in this blog? Im BACK!

 

Today I'm back in school. I still do all my work digitally it's just I'm back at school. It is now level 3 so that allows a central worker to send their kids back to school. I'm in one of the junior classes in Kaniere School. In the class room with me is Jack.S, Luke.S, Sofia and the teachers Mrs King and Ann. Everyone in this class room shares a desk with one other person but a metre apart. Jack and Luke sit together and I sit with Sofia. Meets EVERY DAY!

 Everyday on some meets we will have different tasks to do. The first one was Wacky hat day, Wacky shirt day and the last one we've had was Pet day I like these task's I think they are very fun and if we go back into Lock down again after this one I would really like to do it again. And if you don't want to do it, you don't have to join in. These tasks are fun and I would like to do them more often and maybe even in school. Google meets have been fun as well, they're not very stress fall. last year it was hard but that was only because I was just getting use to it. Does your School do this if not you should try it and if your School does tell me what you think of it?

Stylophone LOCKDOWN!

 

This is my new instrument its called a Stylophone this is an old instrument that a famous artist called David Bowie used to play this in his band, plus the Beatles and my uncle use to play it as well and many more artist's. This instrument works with a pen with a metal end on it to play tunes. I know two songs on this, one is called "Im Blue" and "Happy Birthday". When I first saw this I didn't know what it was, I thought it was a Piano and it looked like one as well. 

This amazing instrument was made in 1967 and was made in England. Have you ever heard or seen one of these instruments before? Please let me know in the comments.

Time travel!

 Today I am making a time Capsule so at if any time the school gets demolished in about 50 years people might find this capsule about me and my classmates. The hole reason about time capsules is so people can track you done and know what your about. The most important thing is your address, phone number and name. I cant show you my work but Ill show you what a time capsule is.What I learnt about Time Capsules is that sometimes they can be very very old and some of them could of been put in 2 years ago . My question is have you hid or found or even heard of a Time Capsule.

Emily carr

Emily Carr is a Canadian artist for our art work. The art work we did was complicated first we had to make a 2 or 3 coloured background with sponges the colours I used were Orange and Yellow first I put yellow on and then orange. Then we waited for a week and then drew trees and outlined them on paper. We were going to use vivid but then we used black paint because vivids dried to quickly. Have you made trees like this before?

Is it true surely not

Today for are reading. We have been learning if it is true or false by reading an article. The article is called Tree Octopus. After we read the article we had to make a poster about how to tell if you were reading something that's fake. I liked this reading because we had to do more than one task. Another thing I enjoyed was reading the article because at first I thought it was true.The other thing was making a design for my True or False poster. My question for you is have you found a fake website online and have you tried to do anything about it? I hope you enjoyed reading my blog post and if this poster helps its free to use.

Emily Carr?

 On Thursday me and my classmates focused on this lady called Emily Carr. Emily Carr is a tree artist who draws landscapes and churches also. She also likes to write books as well. For the art that we did was trees we focused on trees around our school. I was proud of my tree.This was the tree I focused on.

I liked learning about Emily because the way she draws is different and cool.She does two different kinds of art ,she does real life arts and abstract arts.Emily Carr was born in 1871 on December 13th and died 1945 March the 2nd.If Emily Carr was born in 1871 I wonder where she got her paint tools. And what did she travel around in because I know she's got a caravan but if she wanted to move it what would she use?.

BANG BANG BANG!

 

Last term for ANZAC day my whole class made letters.The letters that we made we had to act like we were at Gallipoli and pretend that we were soldiers or nurses or just people who were on the boat when we were fighting first we had to write the letters out on our chromebook then write them on a piece of paper that's dipped in tea and coffee to make the paper look old.

Before we did this job ANZAC was very special but this writing task made it better. I learnt what boat they came on, where they stopped before they got there and what they sure when they got there.

I wonder what it would acturley be like to be at Gallipoli when the war was on. If I was there I'd just stay in the boat to be honest.

WIN THE RACES!

 2 weeks ago we had district athletics and to get into districts you have to finish your School athletics. I made it in for the High jump, long jump, 1000

m, 50m, and 80m.For all my races I got second for Long jump I got 1st and for High jump I tied with a friend.Since district was 2 weeks ago I got the results and I am going to Westcoast for 1000m and 80m and that's it.I liked districts because it was different to school athletic because I got to see other schools and compete against them.One thing I learnt about districts is to try my hardest and never give up have you made it to district or do you no someone who has?  

TO MUCH RUBBISH!!

 Last week on Thursday we went to the beach after our Athletic Sports. Since I was in the Kaniere Crusaders,the enviro group, all of us Crusaders went to the beach before the whole school. When we got to the beach we had to go 60ms long down the beach and when we got to 30ms we put down a stick to know where the 30ms was then when we got to 50ms we placed down another stick` and when we got to 60ms we placed down the last stick. Now we picked up all the rubbish within the square. The reason why we put down the sticks was because we needed to know where our boundary was. We only picked up 4 pieces of rubbish which was really good.Have you ever picked up rubbish on the beach or have you seen someone else picking up rubbish?

    

CACTUS

 Today at Cactus we did a blindfolded challenge and I had a fun time. Our Cactus teacher called Pita. He teaches us fun outside activities for the blind folded challenge we had to pick a buddy that we don't

usually work with. I chose Cody. He went first for the blindfold challenge. The first course was around the basketball hoop then up the hill then in the gaga and out the gaga next we went around the table and back to the courts where we started.Now it was time for my turn for the blindfold and I am not sure what my course was but I know that at the end I crashed into a tire and fell over. Have you ever done Cactus and if you have then have you done this course? 

NOW I'M TIRED

 On Wednesday I went to district swimming and it was AMAZING. First I'll tell you which races I was in to begin with. So my first race was the 2 lengths freestyle and also I had to wait for like 40 MINUTES for it to actually start. My next race was the 1 length freestyle and that was probably my best race because I almost came third because my friend and I were crossing over like when I went down he was in front but when I went down again  I was in front and also I came 2nd in all my races.When I went swimming it pushed me to do better so I learnt that when I was swimming I was pushing me to go hard at it.Have you ever gone to the district swimming and pushed yourself really hard and did very well.

The CRICKET KIDZ!

 

On Tuesday some people from Canterbury cricket came to our school ground  at 2.15 to help practise our cricket skills.We learnt how to run fast and bowl smoothly and also how to aim a cricket ball to go straight. I liked playing cricket it was fun and it was fun because of the games that warmed us up. The warm up games were ball tag and a game when you had to keep your eye on the ball so if someone pasted it to you you would not drop it. Would you play one of these warm up games and breaks I would because its fun. 

MY NEW JOBS

 Hi my name is Haki this Blog post is about my jobs that I do this year.

JOB 1 

On Monday I do peer mediation  in the morning my buddies that I do it with are Theo and Olivia so if you have troubles you can come find the peer mediators.

JOB 2

For my second job I do P.E shed on Tuesday at lunch time with Leon and Rhys , so anytime you need P.E gear on Tuesday me Rhys and Leon  will be in the P.E shed giving out stuff and remember, don't throw stuff in or at the P.E monitors.

For my third job I do peer mediation but just with different people and those people are Theo and Jack. R

RUMA KERERUS BIG TRIP!!!

 Hi my name is Haki last week we went to the race track to do an activity that only the year five and six can do.   I will tell you a we bit of information about the clued up kids field trip. Since we were the biggest school that went we had to split up into two groups one was Kaniere red and the other Kaniere blue. I was in Kaniere blue.

The first thing my group had to do was house safety its when you had to find danger's things that were in the house. 

The second thing my group had to do was saint johns with the doctor who accurately comes to this school we learnt how to rap bandages around a plastic knife and we also had buddies that were in are group and one of my friends were in my group and we both asked the person who was teaching us if we could rap my head and sadly she said no.

The third thing my group had to do was fire safety the fire safety was just the fire brigades little maze that they put up at kids day and when you finish they give you a sticker. 

The next one we did was the quad bike! This one was my favourite and you no why because you got to sit on the quad and you had to wear this heavy as helmet and the man who was teaching us .He just chooses random people and once they got on the man flipped the quad a little bit to the side. 

The next one was animal safety and it was with a horse and the horses name was Patches he had brown patches all over him that why they probably named him that. 

The next one was rail way safety this man told us all about how trains cant stop straight away and to always stop look and listen were ever you no there will be a moving vehicle .

And now the second last one search and rescue this lady showed us all the cool stuff they news. 

And now the last one earthquake safety and tsunami one thing she showed us was her backpack she called it a safety backpack it had all the stuff that you will need encase a natural disaster       

All about me!

This here is my All about me poster  I like what I did with, it I like all the colours they match the poster very well. One of the rules you were not allowed to do was have a single white spot on the peace of paper.
